Director Patrick Hughes If you’re looking for a good laugh, then this is the perfect movie for you. “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” is clearly a parody of “The Bodyguard.” It even uses Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” in the trailer and imitates the 1992’s iconic poster—albeit here it’s Ryan Reynolds carrying Samuel L. Jackson. Reynolds plays the part of the bodyguard who’s tasked with protecting the world’s most notorious hitman (Jackson’s character) who is set to testify in front of the International Court of Justice. Problem is, the two are mortal enemies. Plus, there’s a bloodthirsty dictator (Gary Oldman) who will be causing a lot of trouble for the two and ultimately ... force them to work together. Well, let’s see how that works out.
