DA MAN

The STageS of TalenT

-

rom up-and-coming actors to veteran performers, talent has always been one of DAMAN’s main highlights. In this edition, however, we have several extra representatives of the former group: Young actors with few years in the business but much potential for the future.

Dallas Hart and Devin Druid, both featured in this issue, aren’t exactly household names, but they have managed to score major roles in major shows—“Greenhouse Academy” and “13 Reasons Why,” respectively. From the home front, we have 18-year old Jefri Nichol who, in this year alone, will appear in five feature films. The same goes for Charlie Heaton, who is on our cover this time. He started acting only in 2015, but he’s now been immortalized in hit TV series “Stranger Things” and he’s also become a part of the “X-Men” movie series. Their stories of hard work, perseverance and breaking into such a competitive scene remind us of what the young generation can achieve when they really put their minds to it.

To add a bit contrast, however, we’re also featuring a pair of seasoned thespians. Indonesian actress Adinia Wirasti—in her second appearance on DAMAN— shares with us just how deep acting can go. “Lucifer” star Tom Ellis, meanwhile, gives us a glimpse into the mind of a grounded actor in his prime. Together, they tell the stories that their younger compatriots mentioned above have yet to star in.

Of course, we also have plenty more to offer in this edition, including our usual fare of exclusive fashion photography. On that note, we’d like to remind all of you that the latest issue of DAMAN Style is also out now, including a couple of exciting spreads by yours truly. And finally, as always, you can easily keep up with our latest issues and updates through our website at daman.co.id and our social media accounts. Until then, happy reading.
