col­lab­o­rates with the house of Finn Juhl—who is famed for sculp­tural fur­ni­ture de­signs that care­fully ac­com­mo­date the hu­man form—to de­sign sev­eral fur­ni­ture pieces fea­tur­ing Paul Smith’s sig­na­ture fab­rics. Ti­tled “The Paul Smith x House of Finn Juhl,” the col­lab­o­ra­tion will show­case Finn Juhl pieces made with Paul Smith’s Ma­haram fab­rics, such as the Finn Juhl 108 and 109 chairs with the Ma­haram seg­mented stripe, or the France chairs with the As­sem­bled Check fab­ric. “Juhl com­bined an un­der­stand­ing of how things should work with how things should look to such beau­ti­ful ef­fect,” Smith said of the col­lab­o­ra­tion. “With his back­ground in ar­chi­tec­ture he knew how to solve a prob­lem with de­sign and al­ways did it with such amaz­ing lines and such el­e­gant sim­plic­ity.”
