About 17 years since the original “Super Troopers,” the cultclassic is finally getting a sequel after successfully raising more than US$4.6 million from a crowdfunding campaign with a US$2 million goal. For the movie itself, the old Broken Lizard Comedy Group gang is back, and the story will pick up right where they left off as the Vermont state troopers—Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva—attempt to resolve a border dispute between the U.S. and Canada, which left the group stationed in a contested area of the state. Returning to the director’s seat is also Jay Chandrrasekhar, who will be playing Mac in the movie.
