Check out our round-up of fragrances for the turn of the season.
In addition to Louis Vuitton’s Les Parfum collection, which consists of five different fragrances for men, the French house has also separately introduced the Ombre Nomade, a unisex fragrance inspired by the Middle East. In practice, the fragrance is built specifically around oud. But not just any ordinary oud, as it is sourced from a family-run oud assam plantation in Bangladesh, where agar wood has been cultivated for centuries and is actually worth more than solid gold. Acclaimed perfumer Jacques Cavallier then blends the precious oud with a strong mix of leathery, spicy and woody accents, before soothing it with hints of raspberry, rose and roast geranium. There are also hints of black incense that lingers mysteriously. Altogether, Louis Vuitton’s Ombre Nomade is truly a strong and sensual scent with an impressive projection.
