A RUSH TO SUGAR TOWN
Two great dining destinations from two cities are about to collaborate and ignite the best kind of rush: a sugar rush. Cuca, a delightful culinary gem in Jimbaran, Bali, is about to take Jakarta by storm with a exciting dessert pop-up at Basque, a trendy tapas bar boasting Spanishinspired dishes and drinks.
Aptly named Sugar Rush, the event will be held for three days from 12th to 14th April, from 6PM to 11PM. The brilliantly talented Chef Kevin Cherkas from Cuca is ready to bring his out-of-the-box cooking techniques, using 100 percent premium natural products locally sourced from all over Indonesia.
Sweet tooths can look forward to Cuca’s famed Bali Breakfast, a dessert that looks like poached egg but doesn’t contain egg at all. For a twist on a classic Italian dessert, Kevin will bring his take on tiramisu, Tea-ramisu, in which he substitutes the coffee with black tea, and cocoa with white chocolate.
