EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF AT THE RITZ-CARLTON, BALI
Chef Wicaya is a man of many culinary talents and actively develops the fabulous menus for The Ritz-Carlton, Bali’s six restaurants. A native of northern Bali, he has graced the kitchens of some of the island’s best venues, as well as a cruise line in America, and spends his time honing his talents and gathering knowledge and experience of various cuisines.
Winner in 2010 of one of the culinary world’s most prestigious prizes, the Global Chefs Challenge, Chef Wicaya, who also holds numerous other awards, had to prepare a four-course dinner for 12 people to exacting standards. He has also been a chef mentor and guest judge on TV cooking shows.
At The Ritz-Carlton, Bali’s Bejana, he is thrilled to be able to showcase his signature dish, soto pesmol, which we absolutely adore.
