First-time vis­i­tors to Ben­gawan Restau­rant will be daz­zled by its el­e­gant and un­der­stated dé­cor. Ex­panses of mar­ble floor­ing, neat rows of stretch booths and seat­ing, re­gal bur­nished ac­cou­trements are scat­tered about the lengthy din­ing area. The light-filled space is wrapped by lat­tices of floor-to­ceil­ing tem­pered glass win­dows, of­fer­ing vis­i­tors un­matched views of Jakarta's ever­busy met­ro­pol­i­tan area. For guests look­ing to dine in pri­vacy, we rec­om­mend the small out­door nook – a comfy in­ti­mate space over­look­ing the lush out­door pools and gar­dens of the ho­tel. Booths, small group seat­ing and stretches of com­mu­nal tables make up the rest of the restau­rant seat­ing ar­range­ment, all of which are lo­cated within close vicin­ity of the buf­fet spread.

Only the best and fresh­est in­gre­di­ents make the cut for the restau­rant's Sun­day brunch of­fer­ings, with choice ven­dors from all over the world hand­picked by Ben­gawan Restau­rant's dis­cern­ing Ex­ec­u­tive Chef Rafael Gil. One of our favourite items on of­fer is the fresh seafood items, which are air-flown fresh weekly, with sea­sonal catches such as blue-tipped oys­ters, fresh oys­ters as well as the se­lec­tion from the sushi sta­tion. The high­light of the buf­fet is the pre­mium cuts of Wagyu beef avail­able at the carv­ing sta­tion, best en­joyed as is. For those look­ing for some­thing fill­ing, go for the ex­cel­lent paella and sea­sonal se­lec­tion of ris­soto.
