In July 2018, The Dhar­mawangsa Jakarta wel­comed the renowned pas­try chef I Made Kona as the Ex­ec­u­tive Chef of Jakarta Restau­rant and Cake Shop. An ac­claimed chef with an im­pres­sive ca­reer span­ning more than 30 years in world-class es­tab­lish­ments across Asia, Chef Kona brings a wealth of ex­pe­ri­ence and ex­cit­ing new ideas.

Chef Kona started his culi­nary jour­ney at Nusa Dua Beach Ho­tel, Bali, prov­ing his com­pe­tence and tal­ent by work­ing his way up to the pres­ti­gious Pas­try Chef de Patis­serie. Aside from ex­pe­ri­ences in five-star es­tab­lish­ments in In­done­sia such as Four Sea­sons Re­sort Bali and The Ritz-Carl­ton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan, Chef Kona has made his mark in­ter­na­tion­ally with suc­cess­ful stints in Four Sea­sons Sin­ga­pore and con­sul­tant roles for Four Sea­sons Mal­dives. Chef Kona also had the honour of win­ning the pres­ti­gious Sin­ga­pore and In­done­sia Salon Culi­naire In­ter­na­tional Com­pe­ti­tion of the World As­so­ci­a­tion of Chef's So­ci­eties, as well as star­ring as a guest judge for the crit­i­cally ac­claimed MasterChef In­done­sia re­al­ity show.
