At the es­tate, you will find the space to re-con­nect with na­ture’s rhythms, the time to dis­cover new pas­sions and the mo­men­tous op­por­tu­nity to shed old habits. The es­tate pro­vides a nur­tur­ing en­vi­ron­ment for guests to take the nec­es­sary steps to face per­sonal is­sues and fu­ture chal­lenges. On hand is a highly ex­pe­ri­enced team of spe­cial­ists ded­i­cated to guid­ing guests out of their fa­mil­iar com­fort zones to­wards higher goals, un­re­alised depths, new strengths and a sense of equi­lib­rium. They help guests change mind­sets and gain new per­spec­tives.

AC­COM­MO­DA­TION: Ac­com­mo­da­tion at the es­tate is among the most spa­cious of its kind, built into jun­gle clear­ings above the Ayung River. There are five, unique, themed res­i­dences, each with four or five suites, airy liv­ing ar­eas and a large swim­ming pool, de­signed by Cheong Yew Kuan, an ar­chi­tect with a strik­ing re­spect for the en­vi­ron­ment and indige­nous styles of build­ing. All of the res­i­dences, vil­las and suites are de­signed to al­low guests to en­gage with COMO Shamb­hala’s greater pur­pose, which is to clear the mind of ev­ery­thing but thoughts of bet­ter phys­i­cal, men­tal and spir­i­tual health.

WELL­NESS PRO­GRAMMES: The Es­tate of­fers var­i­ous well­ness pro­grammes for dif­fer­ent lengths of stay with ther­a­pies an­gled to­wards a spe­cific pur­pose. All staff mem­bers work to­gether to de­vise the op­ti­mum per­sonal pro­gramme for each guest. Af­ter an ini­tial con­sul­ta­tion, dy­namic pack­ages are cre­ated ac­cord­ing to per­sonal re­quire­ments. Pro­grammes run for three, five or seven nights, and in­clude Cleans­ing, Ayurvedic, Re­ju­ve­na­tion, Stress Man­age­ment and Get Fit. Al­ter­na­tively, you can opt for a Dis­cover COMO Shamb­hala Pro­gramme to tar­get a par­tic­u­lar con­cern. Pro­grammes gen­er­ally in­clude an ar­rival well­ness con­sul­ta­tion, pre­scribed treat­ments, daily break­fast, lunch and din­ner and par­tic­i­pa­tion in a daily ac­tiv­i­ties sched­ule. This usu­ally in­cludes morn­ing yoga, guided hikes and med­i­ta­tion.

TREAT­MENTS: The ex­pert COMO Shamb­hala ther­a­pists at the es­tate will deliver dif­fer­ent types of hands-on heal­ing rec­om­mended ac­cord­ing to each client’s end goal, whether it be a lym­phatic is­sue, some­thing mus­cu­lar or re­liev­ing deep-set stress and emo­tional dif­fi­cul­ties. Tra­di­tional East­ern tech­niques in­clude Thai, In­done­sian, Shi­atsu and Ayurvedic mas­sage. Other ar­eas of ex­per­tise in­clude hot stone and deep-tis­sue mas­sage.
