DINING: Culinary enthusiasts will be amazed by Kemangi Bistro Restaurant, with its open kitchen, wood-fired pizza oven and selection of authentic Indonesian dishes, from gudeg to Javanese fried rice. Kemangi Bistro offers the best of Western and Asian cuisines. The Ramayana Night Market at Kemangi Bistro is held poolside every Saturday night, with the talented culinary team presenting a lavish buffet of freshly prepared Indonesian favourites served at warung-style stations. Accompanying this unique feast is a performance of the Ramayana ballet presented by a talented group of artist from a nearby village. Kemangi Bistro also serves Sunday brunch, with an extensive buffet of innovative Indonesian and Western dishes.
ACTIVITIES: Wrapped around the sprawling 22-hectare hotel grounds is a nine-hole golf course designed by Fisette Golf Design and landscaped by Tongg, Clark and McCelvey, both from Hawaii. The par-30 course features the most challenging greens in town with six par-3 holes and three par-4 holes, and plays to 1,835 metres. Each hole has three tee-off areas to accommodate professional, men and women golfers.
There are two floodlit tennis courts; a multi-level saltwater swimming pool complete with 70metre water slides; waterfalls; whirlpool and a children’s pool. The health club features relaxing and pampering services such as sauna and massage therapies for detoxification and rejuvenation. Other facilities include a comprehensive spa and Jacuzzi.
MEETINGS & EVENTS: Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta’s Ballroom measures 743 square metres and accommodates up to 400 people for sit-down luncheons or dinners, 1,000 for cocktails and approximately 500 for conferences in classroom style. The Ballroom can also be subdivided into six smaller function rooms to accommodate smaller gatherings and meetings.
