Richard Koh Fine Art
There’s a growing appreciation of Southeast Asia’s contemporary art in the region of Malaysia, and Richard Koh Fine Art is considered to be the pioneer of its introduction. Founded in Kuala Lumpur in 2005, the art gallery promotes a dream team that consists of emerging and established Southeast Asian artists and has frequently staged exhibitions locally and abroad as well as participating in international art fairs such as Art Stage Singapore, Art Taipei, and Art Central
Hong Kong. This year they will present two promising young artists: Haffendi
Anuar of Malaysia, the multi-talent adept in painting, sculpture, installations, and drawings, and for Bazaar Art Jakarta he will bring his handmade geometric painted panel, a study of East and West-tinged architecture created with a modern, digital touch; and fellow Malaysian, Hings Lim, who remaining committed to his past work, still involves the public—this time marginal communities—for his participatory abstract expressionist paintings.
