Harper's Bazaar Art (Indonesia) - - Exhibition Highlight - Hings Lim

There’s a grow­ing ap­pre­ci­a­tion of South­east Asia’s con­tem­po­rary art in the re­gion of Malaysia, and Richard Koh Fine Art is con­sid­ered to be the pioneer of its in­tro­duc­tion. Founded in Kuala Lumpur in 2005, the art gallery pro­motes a dream team that con­sists of emerg­ing and es­tab­lished South­east Asian artists and has fre­quently staged ex­hi­bi­tions lo­cally and abroad as well as par­tic­i­pat­ing in in­ter­na­tional art fairs such as Art Stage Sin­ga­pore, Art Taipei, and Art Cen­tral

Hong Kong. This year they will present two promis­ing young artists: Haf­fendi

Anuar of Malaysia, the multi-tal­ent adept in paint­ing, sculp­ture, in­stal­la­tions, and draw­ings, and for Bazaar Art Jakarta he will bring his hand­made geo­met­ric painted panel, a study of East and West-tinged ar­chi­tec­ture cre­ated with a mod­ern, dig­i­tal touch; and fel­low Malaysian, Hings Lim, who re­main­ing com­mit­ted to his past work, still in­volves the pub­lic—this time mar­ginal com­mu­ni­ties—for his par­tic­i­pa­tory ab­stract ex­pres­sion­ist paint­ings.
