OTA Fine Arts

Harper's Bazaar Art (Indonesia) - - Exhibition Highlight - Yayoi Kusama

Every culture has its own idiosyncrasies, and Ota Fine Arts aims to extract more regional character, originality, and commonality not only from their homeland—japan—but also the Asian cultural belt as their gallery has played host to Korean, Chinese, and Iranian artists. Established in 1994 in Tokyo (now moved to Roppongi), OTA Fine Arts promotes contemporary art from painting to sound and video art, sculpture, installation, performance art and crafts. One of their prized artists is the internationallyacclaimed Yayoi Kusuma, who this year is featured in TIME magazine’s “100 Most Influential People”—the only Japanese artist to ever been included in the list.

Other artists in their rosters are considered as the who’s who of the art world, such as Ay Tjoe Christine, Chen Wei, Hiraki Sawa, Takao Minami, Rina Banerjee, Masayasu Mitsuke, Masanori Handa, and many more.
