An­drew Art, lo­cated in bustling Jakarta, has been very pas­sion­ate and de­ter­mined in pro­mot­ing the work of lo­cal artists with strong and dis­tinc­tive cul­tural iden­tity.

For in­stance, the 2015 UOB’S Paint­ing of the Year Fi­nal­ist, Valentino Fe­bri from Yo­gyakarta, a promis­ing young tal­ent who has had three solo ex­hi­bi­tions of his paint­ings: A Love Story in 2014 and Fete and Ro­man­tika Cinta in 2015. An­other great tal­ent is Ba­li­nese Wayan Kun Adyana, whose thought-pro­vok­ing paint­ings evoke the strug­gles of be­ing the stereo­typ­i­cal Ba­li­nese man in the mod­ern world. Wayan is also a writer and a scholar; he had won the Visit­ing Scholar’s Award from Gwen Fros­tic School, Col­lege of Fine Art, West­ern Michi­gan Univer­sity, and held a solo ex­hi­bi­tion there en­ti­tled Po­ems from Lake Michi­gan.
