hellobali Guide to Bali - - ISLAND NIGHTLIFE -

YOUR BEST BET for encountering evening delights is to book your stay in southern Bali. Though your age and wallet girth will determine the exact locale (Kuta and Nusa Dua form the extremes of the age/class spectrum), in general, most afterhours action occurs in the Badung regency that encompasses the infamous club-packed Kuta; Legian, Seminyak, Kerobokan, and Canggu to the northwest; Tuban and Jimbaran to the immediate south, and, farther afield, Nusa Dua and Uluwatu. Sanur is rife with affordable pubs and top-40 talent. Homegrown nightlife is best found in Denpasar, though the provincial capital tends to cultivate one-off outdoor festivals and concerts, rather than mainstay beverage and band hotspots. Ubud also boasts a few decent music venues, but closes the drapes at 11:00pm sharp every night of the week.
