BOLD AND CHIC, the casual fine-dining and private event venue Chez Gado Gado has a big and suitably apt name. After over thirty years, the restaurant has earned itself a long-standing legacy and has bloomed into a well-rounded adult experience – all without ever outgrowing its light-hearted moniker.

Modestly standing at the side tail-end of Jl. Camplung Tanduk in the bustling labyrinth of Seminyak, Chez Gado Gado enjoys a coveted location right on Seminyak Beach, not to mention ample parking for lavish parties.

Reopened after major renovations in 2010, the venue maintains a classic vibe with stern attention to detail in its engraved woodwork, decadent chandeliers and a polished canoe that

hangs from the dining room’s high ceilings. Not only has the venue’s interiors evolved, the restaurant’s menus, including the Chef’s Tasting Menu, have come a long way.

Try some favorites from the a la carte or, the signature set menu - an indulgent treat that shouldn’t be missed; Tuna carpaccio a la nicoise, followed by octopus and squid fricassee with iberico chorizo, canneline beans, pesto, zucchini and ginger emulsion. Third course is oven baked flounder with white truffle mousse, white shrimp, juniper berry and nantua sauce, while the fourth is grilled Australian rib-eye with herb butter, turnip, zucchini, braised shallot and jus. Close the meal by having one of the delicious desserts of Chez Gado Gado.

Never resting on their laurels, the culinary team continues to wow diehard fans and newcomers with new delights including their popular Sunset Bites. Showcasing the best available produce from around Bali, there’s nothing better than a few tapas and ice-cold beers shared with friends as the sun fades beyond the indigo horizon. There’s no reason to skip breakfast now that Chez Gado Gado has opened for breakfast, offering a relaxed, yet sumptuous menu from 9am to 12pm. Serving everything from an attractively priced homemade muffin and coffee combo to heavenly poached eggs with salmon, there’s something for everyone at Chez Gado Gado.
