hellobali - - EDITOR’SLETTER -

I'm aware that in general people come to Bali to kick back, relax and enjoy a tropical break. As someone whose spirit animal is the sloth, I can appreciate this kind of holiday. Having said that, it is summer, and summer in Bali is too gorgeous – clear blue skies and cooling breezes – to be wasted lounging beside your hotel pool the whole day. We at want to encourage you to get out, get active, and get your adventure on! Our Island Life pages feature a list of sporty and outdoorsy activities for you to engage in. We also talk to a respected capoerista and a triathlon ace to inspire you.

Furthermore, we understand that there are people who find their adventure at the hippest and wildest summer festivals around (like yours truly does). So we also provide a long list of parties in the High Season Highlights page. It’s going to be one cool summer! Happy reading!

– RUNI INDRANI, Hi hellobali, I loved the Food Bible issue in July. Turns out there were many great eating joints in Bali that I hadn’t heard of before reading the magazine. Great guide for a tourist like me!
