THE HOUSE Berawa Art House, a petite, unassuming second-floor loft, wasn’t giving anything away when I first saw the unobtrusive sign from the street. Although humble in size, the loft is neat, airy, and charming. The huge windows overlooking Jalan Batu Bolong provide perfect natural lighting, which makes me feel instantly comfortable. I’m welcomed by two friendly partners in work and life, Musa Chng and Jorraine Lim.
While Jorraine is at a long table, touching up a painting, Musa sits down with me on a bench by the window, ready to answer all this curious girl’s questions.“Berawa Art House is an art studio where kids and adults can take regular classes and workshops,” he begins.
