On the occasion of celebrating 65 years of bilateral relations between Austria and

Indonesia, the Austrian Embassy of Jakarta in partnership with the Indonesia Opera Society and Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta hosted a Viennese Soiree, a night of music featuring the most popular opera songs from Austria in the last few centuries. The singers were renowned Austrian Soprano Josipa Bainac who has won multiple awards for her work, and Indonesian Tenor Widhawan Aryo Pradhita, a champion of numerous vocal competitions and has won several awards.

The singers were accompanied by the Chroma String Quartett and Piano by Vincent Wiguna. Some of the songs featured were “Overture” and “Ich lade gern mir Gäste ein” from Die Fledermaus, “The Emperor Waltz”, “The Blue Danube”, and “Ja das alles auf her” from Der Zigeunerbaron, all the works of Johan Strauss II, and more.
