In launching its whimsical collection entitled Mcsorley’s Wonderful Saloon at the 100% Design South Africa exhibition, South African designer Douglas & Company has presented its playful side. Part of its new collection is a trolley that lets everyone create their own bar at home. The name was inspired by one of NYC’S oldest bars, Mcsorley’s Old Ale House, which is also the name of the second book by American journalist Joseph Mitchell, which was written in 1943. The wheels can be moved around as needed and the trolley is made from natural stone framed
in black steel.
