Army Gen­eral (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Susilo Bam­bang Yud­hoy­ono was In­done­sia’s sixth pres­i­dent. He led the coun­try for two terms from Oc­to­ber 20, 2004, to Oc­to­ber 20, 2014. Born in Pac­i­tan, East Java, on Septem­ber 9, 1949, he is mar­ried to Kris­tiani Her­awati and they are blessed with two sons, Agus Harimurti and Ed­hie Baskoro. He founded the Demo­cratic Party and, since Novem­ber 2014, he has been Pres­i­dent of Global Green Growth In­sti­tute (GGGI), an or­gan­i­sa­tion head­quar­tered in South Korea that fo­cuses on eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment and en­vi­ron­men­tal preser­va­tion.
