Roger Dubuis previews its latest collection shown at SIHH
At this year’s Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), Roger Dubuis is pulling out all the stops. Its iconic and deliberately extravagant collection, Excalibur, is slated to send tremors across the luxury watch world. Here is a sneak peek at some of the new releases from the Excalibur line.
Excalibur Quatuor Cobalt Micromelt
The hand-wound Quator movement—with its four spring balances and five differentials— is the most progressive movement out there.
Excalibur Spider Skeleton Automatic
Roger Dubuis’ automobile-inspired “Technical Skeletons” have long become synonymous with the contemporary outdoor. The Excalibur Spider Skeleton Automatic brings a fresh new take on a classic with its new colours and an even higher level of craftsmanship. The main principle of the Spider Skeleton is to promote visibility and transparency, while forming architectural and sculptural effects that highlight the unique beauty of the sophisticated mechanisms. The Spider concept extends beyond just the movement, as its influences are also seen on the titanium case, flange and hands. The expert use of materials such as titanium make for a timepiece that is light and pleasing on the wrist.
Excalibur 36
With electric blue straps, black titanium case, and 48 blue sapphires set into its bezel, the Excalibur 36 cannot help but turn heads. The sparkling gems perfectly accentuate the dial with its exquisite sunbrushed finish. The smaller Excalibur is fitted with the collection’s fluted bezel and triple lugs, along with radiating roman numerals. The seconds subdial is elegantly combined with a discrete date display. Its smaller 36mm dial ensures that it will look good on the wrist of any of the lucky 28 people to get their hands on it. n
