Back in 2014, Mo’s new-born daugh­ter Bayou Blue was di­ag­nosed with a rare dis­ease called tri­somy 18. Vic­tims of this con­di­tion have only a very small chance of sur­vival. How small? Ten per cent af­ter reach­ing their first birth­day. Thank­fully, af­ter un­der­go­ing in­ten­sive med­i­cal care and ther­apy, Baby Bayou is do­ing well, now a beau­ti­ful 16-month old. And so, Mo de­cided to cre­ate the Bayou Blue Fam­ily, a char­ity or­gan­i­sa­tion fo­cus­ing on help­ing fam­i­lies cope with lifethreat­en­ing ill­nesses in terms of sup­port and fund­ing. True mu­si­cian that he is, Mo’s char­ity events fea­ture art and cre­ative per­for­mances, and raise funds by sell­ing art­works in­clud­ing vinyl records and ap­par­els.
