Kila Kila by Akasya

JJK e-magazine - - RESTAURANT REVIEW -

If you’ve been living in jakarta long enough and have made enough rounds attending weddings or corporate events, there’s a high probability you’re now familiar with a catering service called Akasya. After they achieved great success and recognition, some time ago the catering service expanded their operations by opening numerous small restaurants-slash-cafeterias around the city. Earlier last month, the well-regarded company finally opened a full-fledged restaurant named Kila Kila by Akasya that’s situated right across Pacific Place Mall in the SCBD district. Having gone through numerous events with Akasya as the caterer, I could identify a few dishes that are familiar and often featured in their buffet spreads. It didn’t take long for us to decide on the dishes we wanted to order and because it’s an Indonesian restaurant at its core, we ordered numerous dishes to share. From the first pages of the menu, the ayam bumbu rujak (chicken with rujak sauce) caught our eye. Not holding back, we expanded our selection by ordering the lidah cabe hijau (beef tongue with green chili), tahu kecap (tofu with
