… and Then I Met You

Maxx-brides Honeymoon - - Editor’s Letter -

Love is not destiny but a journey of a lifetime. It is not how much love we have in the beginning, but how much love we build until the end.

“Where do you think is the most romantic place?” If you asked me that question a few years ago, my answer would be Venice, Italy. Ever since I set foot in Venice a long time ago, I imagined that on my honeymoon I would be cruising down the canals in a gondola with the love of my life and a musician playing Ave Maria.

After countless trips around the world, not to mention numerous romantic dinners ( some of which I would rather forget) or maybe because I’m getting more mature, for me, what makes a place romantic is the person with whom I go on the journey. The most important thing in creating the magical romantic moment is neither the place nor the sunset; it’s never about the ambience, but rather about the person with whom you share the moment. That’s what makes an ordinary moment special.

Now that you have that special someone, it is time to plan your perfect honeymoon. Like everything else in life, the perfect honeymoon doesn’t just happen; it needs to be carefully planned. It is important to get the journey off to a good start by planning a perfect post-nuptial excursion.

Pakuwon Golf & Family Club, managed by Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers, together with MAXX-Brides, will present the 14th Grand Wedding & Honeymoon Festival, the biggest wedding fair and first honeymoon festival in East Java (previously known as the Grand Wedding Fair).

From July 19 to 21, 2013, couples who are planning their wedding and honeymoon will have the chance to meet with leading vendors offering everything from decorations and entertainment to invitations and wedding cakes, as well as with top event organizers, photographers and everyone else you need for the perfect wedding. You can also check out the most romantic venues from around Indonesia and beyond for the perfect honeymoon.

The festival will give you ideas for your honeymoon, from spending an ocean romance in Bali to a more daring adventurous honeymoon at Raja Ampat, West Papua. Some of the best and most romantic honeymoon destinations can be found in just one location.

Remember, the most important thing about a honeymoon is to relax and have fun …
