Set against pristine white-sand beaches and tranquil turquoise seas, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, offers an uncompromising world of luxury and comfort. The perfect place for our honeymooners, we have found you a place to relax, revive and experience total renewal.

We just love staying at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Why? It is simply because we know that we can relax, refresh, revive and experience total renewal. It is a paradise where we can be sure that all of our senses are well taken care of. From the moment our foot steps into the resort till the time we check out, we know that it will be an experience that will stir our soul and replenish our spirit. Perfect for a sweet escape! Our experience at The Westin started the moment we set foot in the lobby. We were welcomed by sights, sounds and scents that automatically put our mind and body in a holiday mood, which was exactly what we needed. The resort provides travellers with the highest level of comfort, combined with the soft touches of Balinese hospitality. Not to mention, every time we hear the word Westin, our mind drifts off to the comfort of the Heavenly Bed. Here at the Westin, a good night sleep is guaranteed. Nevertheless, The Westin Resort is about more than just comfortable beds. It is also the perfect destination for couples who would love to take a break from the world and just treasure each other company. Accommodation at The Westin Resort is all about modern luxury with a distinctive Balinese flair. One of the best things about staying at The Westin is, of course, the Heavenly Bed. This is simply the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Specially designed for The Westin, the all-white Heavenly Bed will envelop you in comfort and provide you with total body support, lulling you to sleep while making sure you are not disturbed by the movements of your partner. The 10 layers of bedding consist of the pillow-top mattress, finest quality linen, a lightweight goose-down blanket, goose-feather pillows and a luxurious goose-down duvet that will transport you to another realm. It is the bed that was made to take you to your dreams. There are so many things to do at The Westin, we tried the Sunrise cycling tour around the Nusa Dua area, which was an enjoyable breath of fresh air after so much time in the polluted city of Jakarta. We took morning yoga classes in the summer garden, which was simply relaxing. We took a dip in both the freshwater and saltwater pool, relaxing on the Bale reading books while enjoying the breeze of the Indian Ocean and savoured delicacies of the resort’s superb restaurants. And we strolled along the beach, enjoying the feeling of sand under our bare feet and the freedom of, for a short time at least, not having any responsibilities. The visit to The Westin is not complete without a trip to my favourite Heavenly Spa. When I booked our treatment, the Jayaprana & Layonsari couple’s ritual, I chose it because I liked the items on the packet, only later did I find out that this much more than just a ritual. The Jayaprana & Layonsari couple’s ritual is based on Bali’s own epic love story. In fact,

the floral designs and representations of nature throughout Heavenly Spa represent an epic Balinese love story quite like Romeo and Juliet. After reading the love story, my partner and I were eager to experience the ritual. Our 180 minutes amorous ritual began

with the traditional burning of Balinese incense to bless loved ones. An invigorating scrub using Balinese sea salt was followed by an elemental cleansing wrap with locally sourced seaweed, and while we were wrapped up, our therapists gave us an indulgent scalp massage. After a quick shower, we dozed off under the expert hands of the therapists as they had us in a full-body deep-tissue oil massage. The ritual ended with a nourishing Dedari facial, said to induce the kind of rapture that overtook Jayaprana when he first laid eyes on Layonsari. Heavenly Spa by The Westin never disappoints, and this couple’s ritual is one of the most romantic spa experiences we have ever had. The Jayaprana & Layonsari couple’s ritual at Heavenly Spa by The Westin is not just skin-deep. Not only did we feel relaxed, we also learnt a bit about Bali’s own Romeo and Juliet, which made us appreciate even more our own love story. When the sun begins to set, look out for The Westin Bali Unwind programme. Unwind is an enriching experience that helps you settle down from an active day and gear up for a mystical tropical evening in Bali. The Westin’s lobby evolves from day to evening through a variety of subtle sensory cues – everything from music to scent and lighting. Warm, natural lighting is dimmed at the start of the evening, while scented candles are lit and carefully placed around the lobby. This creates an ambience that will ignite your awareness and lift your spirit. Learning from my previous experience staying at the resort, I knew that after a night spent on Heavenly Bed, we will feel compelled to stay in bed longer. So we had Romantic Luxury Breakfast served in the privacy of our suite. There were so many delicious foods and the best thing about this breakfast was that we didn’t have to leave the room. Leave the outside world behind and allow your senses to be elevated. At The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali every aspect of your stay has been carefully thought-out and designed to help you feel calm, relaxed and a million miles away from the distractions of the everyday world. Providing you with modern, luxurious comfort and Balinese hospitality, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, is the place to be.
