An extraordinary oasis of calm and refinement, the five-star JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya exudes the sophistication and intuitive service expected from the finest luxury hotel in the city.

To say the JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya is and always has been much more than just a fivestar hotel would sound cliché, but it is the truth. They have their way, the Marriott way, which sums up the pride they take in providing world-class services and amenities to ensure that guests leave the hotel with an unforgettable experience and that satisfaction is guaranteed. When planning a wedding or honeymoon, we want nothing but the best; a place that guarantees our special occasion will be memorable. During our recent stay at JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya, we understood why many people just like us, love living it the Marriott way. The JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya is an oasis in the heart of the East Java’s capital. Its strategic location keeps guests plugged into the city and just minutes from most destinations. The opulent ambience descends on you the moment you enter the hotel. The grand lobby is airy and spacious, and the staff ’s welcome guests with warm greetings. An elegant minimalist decor is the calling card of our suite at the JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya. Our suite was generous in size, the living area was a calming sea of gold palettes and dark wood furniture, with a comfortable sofa and spacious wood desk. The bedroom was a sanctuary that guaranteed a good night rest. The Revive bedding at the JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya features an indulgent mattress, designer duvet, fluffy pillows and luxurious linens. They take away fatigue and leave you feeling fresh. Wake up, draw back the curtains, soak in the never-ending sky and city sights, and welcome a wonderful new day. With the hotel’s unique hexagonal shape, rooms do not face one another, ensuring utmost privacy. We rarely dine in hotels whenever we are in Surabaya, mainly because the city is famous as a culinary destination and there are so many good restaurants scattered around the city. But this was not the case when we stayed at this hotel. Gastronomic delights await at the JW Marriott Surabaya. We fell in love on our first visit to ‘ Vis a Vis,’ featuring an elegant atmosphere and exquisite dining indulgences; this French fine dining restaurant is simply perfect. The entire space is filled with French paintings, and soft melodies playing in the air, creating an atmosphere of utter luxury. Helmed

by chef Emmy, Vis a Vis will take you on a culinary experience you will never forget. I would love to mention a dish or two that I would recommend you to try, but the only problem is I loved almost everything on the menu. And as I write this story my mind goes back thinking of the escargot… and soufflé… Another favourite here is Imari; this Japanese restaurant turns cooking into an art form, creating delightful and aesthetic Japanese dishes that are a treat for the eyes, the nose, and the palate. Durian lovers must try the heavenly bread at Deli. No word can truly describe the goodness of the bread, just as the best describe it, it is heavenly. It is the best durian bread I have ever had. One day as we were enjoying an evening cocktail at the hotel’s executive lounge, we were greeted by a charming gentleman who turned out to be Mr Colin Young, the hotel’s General Manager. A veteran in the hospitality industry, Mr. Young has a very impressive background having spent his career around the globe. We noticed how Mr. Young was very involved in ensuring that all guests were well-taken care of and that their needs are met before they even ask. We told him how much we love the food here and how popular the hotel is for weddings, and he kindly invited us to have lunch with him at the hotel’s famous Tang Palace. The next day, we met Mr. Young at Tang Palace where Simon Li, the executive Chinese chef had prepared a special menu for us. We were simply blown away at lunch, as Mr. Young explained to us, that each of the menus here is specially crafted and each has a meaning. It is much more than a beautiful presentation, and delicious taste, almost everything in the menu symbolised something. Suddenly, we realized the reasons why JW Marriott

Hotel Surabaya is popular for weddings, and any other events. The exceptional products, the attention to details, and the excellent service are the reasons why many people who want a guarantee that the most important moments of their lives are well taken care of are choosing JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya. And with Colin Young as the General Manager, we are very sure that he and his team will deliver higher than our expectation. Talking about weddings, the hotel has numerous wedding venues that will suit your dream wedding. From a luxurious party in the grandeur of the hotel’s ballroom to an intimate cocktail party in one of the suites overlooking the scenic view of the city. For those who prefer to have an al fresco gathering, the hotel swimming pool is simply perfect to host that special event. We have to say that staying at JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya is one of (if not) the best experience that we have had. From the comfortable suite fit for royalty to the gastronomy delight that is equal to a feast fit for a king, we love everything about the hotel. But most of all we love the service from the heart, and also the attention of details that each staff gives to ensure that you have a memorable and joyful stay just as we did. Whether it be for honeymoon, wedding, business or leisure, JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya is where satisfaction is guaranteed. The five-star JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya is where traditional hospitality meets with modern comfort for an experience like no other.
