I had the most amazing stay at The Spire. This stylish, sophisticated and contemporary boutique hotel offers a truly unforgettable experience. Upon entering, you can immediately sense the homey feeling of this boutique hotel. Featuring 10 spacious rooms, The Spire offers the highest level of service. They know each guest by name, and they greet you every time you enter. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the owner is hands-on in the hotel operation. So do not be surprised if you order room service and the owner delivers the meal to your door personally. My room was very spacious, and a combination of red, black and white completed the decor along with the finest contemporary furnishings. My room boasted a sofa, lazy chair, working desk and a king-sized fluffy bed. It also had a large balcony equipped with table and chairs, where I liked to spend my time enjoying the fresh air and stunning scenery. The bathroom was equally spacious with L’Occitane amenities and the window could be opened into the bedroom, creating a sexy ambience. What I adored was the fireplace: I have always liked a fireplace in a bedroom, for me it really creates a sense of warmth and intimacy. I loved the turn-down gift; there is nothing better than New Zealand chocolate, especially when it comes with a daily poem both in Maori language and in English.
