Lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional tourists, buy­ers and me­dia gath­ered to­gether to wit­ness the an­nual hottest run­way looks from Aus­tralia, Bali, Jakarta, Sin­ga­pore and Malaysia de­sign­ers at The Fash­ion Fes­ti­val, Bali 2014.


he Fash­ion Fes­ti­val, Bali, pre­sented by The Stones Ho­tel, was a stun­ning showcase of fash­ion, beauty, style and cul­ture that ran through­out Au­gust, with the Fes­ti­val’s core pro­gramme of run­way and cul­ture events tak­ing place from Au­gust 16 to 23. Sup­ported by top lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional tal­ent across 25 world-class events, from de­sign­ers and mod­els, to fash­ion blog­gers to DJ’s, The Fash­ion Fes­ti­val also gave de­sign­ers the op­por­tu­nity to sell their col­lec­tions im­me­di­ately after the fash­ion events in the pop-up show­room open to the pub­lic as well as buy­ers. Present were Aus­tralian La­bels Yvonne Faye, INDYK (Karen Wohlsen) as well French Bikini la­bel Blue Glue, Cap­i­tal T and glam­orous Aus­tralian swimwear la­bel WILD ORCHID AUS­TRALIA. The new emerg­ing de­signer this year wasY by Yann, a stun­ning wom­enswear la­bel from Sin­ga­pore. Jew­ellery la­bel Kil­lari also dis­played their col­lec­tion in the Show­room, along with lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional ac­ces­sory brands, for a one-on-one re­tail ex­pe­ri­ence. Lo­cal In­done­sian la­bel QONITA BATIK, God Speed and Pepi­tos, the lat­ter show­ing a her­itage Ital­ian col­lec­tion from Posi­tano, Italy, were also at this pres­ti­gious event. The Fash­ion Fes­ti­val started the week’s pro­gram with an open­ing cer­e­mony show­cas­ing 30 hand-picked run­way looks pre­sented by the 30 de­sign­ers for this sea­son. The in­ter­est­ing ac­tiv­i­ties in­cluded 80 de­signer brands show­cas­ing their wares, and ex­cit­ing spe­cial events in­clud­ing de­signer din­ners, after-par­ties, exhibitions, a cul­tural pro­gram, the premiere of the In­ter­na­tional Run­way event space, and an artsy, de­lec­ta­ble high-end hawker mar­ket of­fer­ing guests food and bev­er­age treats through­out the event, art­di­rected by The Stones Ho­tel. The Fash­ion Fes­ti­val, Bali 2014 in­jected much more into the pro­gram to cater to the me­dia, fash­ion buy­ers and gen­eral pub­lic all wish­ing to en­joy an un­for­get­table ex­pe­ri­ence.
