A perfect design balance
Comfort, versatility, durability, luxury and fashion. These are the five uncompromising commitments Minotti brings to its designs. The company’s philosophy is to achieve a perfect balance of classic Italian and contemporary design ideas. Renato and Roberto Minotti, the second-generation leaders of the family business, believe the three most important ingredients of their products are proportion, great design and function.
These elements can all be seen in Minotti’s latest collection, which marries cutting-edge concepts with state-of-the-art technology. The collection exhibits a cosmopolitan spirit and honours its strong ties with tradition. Alongside the study of proportions and the flow of lines, major emphasis is placed on the functional use of each product.
With Rodolfo Dordoni as its renowned designer, Minotti consistently achieves excellence in terms of quality and aesthetics. Born in Milan in 1954, Dordoni graduated with a degree in architecture in 1979 from Milan Polytechnic. After earning his degree, Dordoni’s first job was to help design a long line-up of products. He soon became an artistic director at leading Italian and international companies.
His working partnership with Minotti as the company’s Artistic Director dates back to 1997, overseeing the creation and development of all its collections. In 2005, he set up Studio Dordoni Architetti with Alessandro Acerbi and Luca Zaniboni, working in the fields of architecture and interior design for residential, commercial and exhibition settings, and the design and development of villas, private homes, industrial and commercial spaces, exhibition stands, restaurants and hotels.
Developed by Minotti Studio, the Leonard sofa, available in linen, leather or in plush velvet with fine leather piping detail with memory foam cushioning, brings immediate comfort to the seating system. Benson coffee table comes in glossy ebony with bronze or gold polished trim, equipped with a mechanism that allows it to turn 360 degrees. The Collar sofa boasts an exclusive technology developed by Minotti Studio that makes it possible to modify the way the sofa is used by adjusting the armrest and seat back positions.
Based on a refectory table design, the Morgan table creates a beautiful composition of striking materials and sophisticated contemporary design. Its distinctive characteristic is the support that connects to the top by means of a cylindrical chrome spacer. With a round and rectangular top and a tapered diamond-shaped section that lends vigour to the base, Morgan speaks both modern and traditional aesthetic languages.
Moie, one of the most recognised retailers of exceptional residential furnishings, lighting and accessories, will open a Minotti showroom in Kemang in 2015.
