ERICK SU­SANTO BE­LIEVES that lack of ed­u­ca­tion about the threat of breast cancer is a big prob­lem for the na­tion. “Be­cause this is­sue is of­ten over­looked, many young women are ne­glect­ing to take early steps to lower their risk,” says the 32-year- old co-founder of The Watch Co. “This leads to more women and fam­i­lies be­ing af­fected by the dis­ease. Peo­ple need to ac­knowl­edge it and be bet­ter in­formed about it, and how to pre­vent it. This event with Lovepink brings us one lit­tle step closer to mak­ing that hap­pen.”

The Watch Co. dis­trib­utes brands like Ca­sio, Daniel Welling­ton and Olivia Bur­ton. Su­santo joined Her­itage Mil­len­ni­als with the aim of de­vel­op­ing a stronger net­work. “This or­gan­i­sa­tion is a group of di­verse, en­er­getic and suc­cess-driven en­trepreneurs,” says the Bei­jing Lan­guage and Cul­ture Univer­sity grad­u­ate. “We are en­cour­aged to be­come in­flu­en­tial mil­len­ni­als that are not driven by money, but by a far greater vi­sion. With this project, the group is boost­ing the sig­nif­i­cance of our ac­tions.”
