In Gucci’s Cruise 2018 advertising cam­paign, Cre­ative Di­rec­tor Alessan­dro Michele cel­e­brates “gen­uine non­con­formists and eccentrics”. Set­ting the cam­paign in Rome, the house cast a wide port­fo­lio of tal­ents, in­clud­ing ac­tress Chiara Mas­troianni, film pro­ducer Givera Elkann and ac­tor Alessan­dro Borghi, who was MC of this year’s Venice Film Fes­ti­val.

The cam­paign was shot by veteran Bri­tish pho­tog­ra­pher - and ec­cen­tric - Mick Rock, known for his work decades ago with the likes of Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Blondie and The Ra­mones.

“Set in or­nate Ro­man apart­ments and neigh­bour­hood parks, Rock’s can­did rep­re­sen­ta­tions of the sub­jects are cap­tured in bright and in­ti­mate stu­dio por­traits,” says the house. “The charisma of the char­ac­ters takes front seat, to­gether with the elab­o­rately de­tailed and colour­ful col­lec­tion.”
