A trio of South In­dian as­so­ci­a­tions in In­done­sia re­cently got to­gether to host a musical pro­gram that cel­e­brated the rich cul­tural di­ver­sity of In­dia.

The event, named the Grand Gala South In­dian Musical Pro­gram, was held on Nov. 12 at Bunda Mu­lia Univer­sity’s TUGA au­di­to­rium in North Jakarta.

This event was jointly or­ga­nized by In­done­sia Tamil Sangam, In­done­sia Tel­ugu As­so­ci­a­tion and Su­varna Kan­nada Sangha.

It was a crowded oc­ca­sion, with 750 guests lis­ten­ing to dance num­bers and songs sung in four South In­dian lan­guages. Aside from the mu­sic, the event served as the launch of the lat­est edi­tion of the An­nual

Tamil Mag­a­zine, a pub­li­ca­tion that serves to show­case the tal­ents of Tamil mem­bers in In­done­sia. The mag­a­zine was re­leased by In­dian Em­bassy first sec­re­tary Anand Prakash. In­dia Club pres­i­dent Rakesh Jain was also present at the event.
