MEET GRISELDA SASTRAWINATA, FIRST IN­DONE­SIAN TO WORK FOR DISNEY’S ART DEPART­MENT

Slated to pre­miere on Nov. 25, Walt Disney Animation Stu­dios’ lat­est 3D an­i­mated film Moana in­volved 800 em­ploy­ees from 25 coun­tries, in­clud­ing the first In­done­sian to work in the com­pany’s art depart­ment, Griselda Sastrawinata.

Born and bred in Jakarta, the vis­ual devel­op­ment artist had dreamed about work­ing in the stu­dio since she was lit­tle. “I grew up watch­ing Aladdin and The Lit­tle

Mer­maid. It was my child­hood dream,” Griselda said re­cently dur­ing the movie’s me­dia jun­ket in South Jakarta.
