Indonesian Cancer Foundation raises public awareness about cancer through concert

In an effort to boost public awareness and concern about the deadly disease cancer, the Indonesian Cancer Foundation (Yayasan Kanker Indonesia) has just organized a concert called Hyperlove Folksong Fiesta at Taman Ismail Marzuki’s Graha Bhakti Budaya venue in Jakarta.
The concert, which was held on Dec. 19, was organized with the help of the Kidung Bangsaku foundation, Bank Central Asia (BCA) and PT Indomarco Prismatama.
Groups who performed during the concert, including the Maria Pratiwi Harp Ensemble, St. James Orchestra, Raphael Choir, Christian and Angels Chamber orchestra, Sion a capella group, Syofyani Dance and Music Ensemble as well as a troupe of cancer survivors, belted out traditional Indonesian folk songs like Sio Mama and Keroncong Kemayoran. The performance from the cancer survivors in particular showcased their strength and resilience in surviving the illness.
