Unspoiled and rugged Gunung Kidul regency in southeastern Yogyakarta province is at the ready with major challenges for adventure- loving visitors. They can start their escapades at Siung Beach in Duwet village, Purwodadi subdistrict, Tepus district, which is strategically nestled among many natural attractions. They camp out on the sand by renting a tent from local adventure tour company Katama Adventure ( Rp 85,000 per night/ accommodates up to four people). At sunset, there is fun rock climbing ( Rp 35,000 per person). Climbers are bound to feel a surge in adrenaline as they hear waves slapping against the cliff’s crevices below them.

In the evening, they can sate their appetite worked up from the day’s activities with a delicious barbecue of freshly caught fish, for the unbelievably cheap price of Rp 15,000 per serving.
