Outback Steakhouse: more than just a restaurant

The Jakarta Post - Magazine - - NEWS -

Walk into the friendly, casual ambiance of the restaurant and be immersed in its contemporary décor, which celebrates authentic Australian visual arts. At Outback, the attitude toward life is laid-back and down to earth. Its a perfect venue to take a temporary break from the daily hustle-andbustle and just enjoy good food.

The restaurant takes food seriously: food is a story of big, bold, high-quality flavors produced through consistency and preparation. Through the food and excellent service provided by Outback staff members, you are guaranteed to enjoy a unique and gratifying dining experience.

The restaurant’s exquisite dishes, distinctive atmosphere and strong service tradition have a long history. The restaurant was founded in Tampa, Florida, by a group of entrepreneurial restaurateurs. Inspired by the hit movie Crocodile Dundee, they infused the Australian feel into an Americanstyle restaurant. In 20 years, the small upstart steakhouse located on Henderson Street in Tampa has grown into an over 1,000-restaurant strong international chain spanning 23 countries in America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

The restaurant’s success cannot be separated from its core belief that many people – its staff members, customers, suppliers and the local community – are included and valued in its business activities. That means the restaurant must always follow its principles of hospitality, quality, sharing, fun, evaluation and courage. These values epitomize the restaurant’s commitment to delivering serious food, delightful drinks and focused service. These values differentiate the restaurant from many others offering similar products.

The restaurant understands that a worldclass reputation is built one customer at a time. Its staff members always strive to tailor their services to suit the personal characteristics of each customer. This is very important to make each dining experience unforgettable. At Outback, there are ‘no rules’ that prevent people from relaxing, but everything is served ‘just right’ to ensure superb quality.

Every day, the restaurant starts out fresh to create unique and compelling dishes craved by its diners. The restaurant makes every salad, dressing and sauce from scratch with fresh ingredients. It does not cut corners or settle for anything less than the authentic and the best, be it Norwegian salmon or Danish blue cheese. The restaurant’s bold, fullflavored food maintains a universal appeal, thanks to the secret Outback spice blend developed 20 years ago.

We demonstrate our pride in executing our food precisely according to standards, right from temperature to plate presentation. At Outback, it’s all about the quality and all about the food!

Best known for its generous portions of steaks, chicken and seafood, Outback also offers an assortment of crisp salads as well as freshly made soups and side dishes. Begin your dining adventure with some of our signature starters like Typhoon Bloom or buffalo style chicken wings. For the main course, choose from a wide variety of classic favorites of uniquely seasoned grilled steaks, ribs, chicken, pasta and seafood. Top it off with our world famous dessert Chocolate Thunder from Down Under. Our beverages complement our bold flavors with a selection of contemporary cold beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, each drink crafted to perfection by our skilled bartenders.
