12 tourism play­ers join in Ma­cau expo

JAKARTA: Twelve lo­cal firms in the tourist in­dus­try have taken part in 2017 Pata Travel Mart in Ma­cau in a move that may ex­pand their net­work in Asia-Pa­cific.

The Tourism Min­istry’s as­sis­tant for the de­vel­op­ment of over­seas tourism mar­ket­ing, I Gde Pi­tana, said in a state­ment on Fri­day that the min­istry had fa­cil­i­tated the par­tic­i­pa­tion of the busi­ness play­ers, which in­clude na­tional flag car­rier Garuda In­done­sia, Dive In­done­sia, Tan­jung Le­sung Beach Re­sort and Ubud Wana Re­sort.

“We hope In­done­sian tourism play­ers can find busi­ness part­ners and seal some co­op­er­a­tion deals in the event,” said Pi­tana as quoted by An­tara news agency.

The three-day event con­cluded Fri­day was also ex­pected to help at­tract 2.5 mil­lion for­eign tourists from Greater China, in­clud­ing Ma­cau and Hong Kong, as tar­geted, he added. — An­tara
