Mandalika SEZ draws 18 investors: ITDC
LOMBOK: Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has drawn the attention of at least 18 foreign and domestic investors.
The investors have already signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the state-owned Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), said ITDC head of general affairs I Gusti Lanang Bratasuta.
“This [the signed MoUs] shows increased investor interest in KEK Mandalika,” he said recently.
Around 500-hectares out of a 1.725 ha plot of land designated for the development of the SEZ had already been booked by investors, Bratasuta added.
ITDC was preparing for supporting facilities in the SEZ, including parking areas, he further explained.
Meanwhile, ITDC deputy project director Adi Sujono Prawoto projected the ongoing spatial planning for Kuta Mandalika beach would be finished by the end of the year. He added other supporting facilities, such as toilets and lifeguard towers, were also being built.
