Man­da­lika SEZ draws 18 in­vestors: ITDC

LOM­BOK: Man­da­lika Spe­cial Eco­nomic Zone (SEZ) in Man­da­lika, West Nusa Teng­gara (NTB), has drawn the at­ten­tion of at least 18 for­eign and do­mes­tic in­vestors.

The in­vestors have al­ready signed mem­o­ran­dums of un­der­stand­ing (MoUs) with the state-owned In­done­sia Tourism Devel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion (ITDC), said ITDC head of gen­eral af­fairs I Gusti Lanang Brata­suta.

“This [the signed MoUs] shows in­creased in­vestor in­ter­est in KEK Man­da­lika,” he said re­cently.

Around 500-hectares out of a 1.725 ha plot of land des­ig­nated for the devel­op­ment of the SEZ had al­ready been booked by in­vestors, Brata­suta added.

ITDC was pre­par­ing for sup­port­ing fa­cil­i­ties in the SEZ, in­clud­ing park­ing ar­eas, he fur­ther ex­plained.

Mean­while, ITDC deputy project direc­tor Adi Su­jono Pra­woto pro­jected the on­go­ing spa­tial plan­ning for Kuta Man­da­lika beach would be fin­ished by the end of the year. He added other sup­port­ing fa­cil­i­ties, such as toi­lets and life­guard tow­ers, were also be­ing built.
