BRI­TISH AIR­WAYS HAS UN­VEILED de­tails of a mul­ti­mil­lion-pound redesign of New York JFK Ter­mi­nal 7.

Set for com­ple­tion by the end of next year, the re­vamp will cost more than £52 mil­lion. It will in­clude a new check-in con­course with a sep­a­rate Club World and First area, up­dated lounges, and a re­fresh of the Con­corde Room, avail­able to First cus­tomers.

There will also be new gate seat­ing with ad­di­tional power out­lets, new shops and an “au­then­tic New York culi­nary ex­pe­ri­ence, with lo­cal food and bev­er­age con­cepts” in­spired by the city’s street-food scene.

Bri­tish Air­ways op­er­ates 20 flights a day be­tween New York and Heathrow, Gatwick and Lon­don City.
