BA to launch Nashville route

BRI­TISH AIR­WAYS WILL IN­TRO­DUCE a five-times weekly ser­vice from Lon­don Heathrow to Nashville from May next year.

The B787-8 route will op­er­ate on Mon­days, Tues­days, Wed­nes­days, Fri­days and Satur­days. Flight BA223 will de­part T5 at 1545 and ar­rive at 1850, with re­turn leg BA222 leav­ing Nashville at 2025 and land­ing at 1030 the next day.

The air­line will also boost its Heathrow ser­vices to Philadel­phia and Phoenix from daily to ten flights a week from spring 2018, and will place the A380 on one of its two daily Chicago flights next May.

Closer to home, BA is launch­ing new routes from Lon­don City to Paris, Prague and Reyk­javik. From Oc­to­ber, its Heathrow ser­vices to Paris Orly will be trans­ferred to Lon­don City. There will be three daily week­day flights to Orly and one a day at week­ends.

The car­rier will op­er­ate six flights a week year-round to Prague (ev­ery day ex­cept on Satur­days). Reyk­javik will be a twice-weekly win­ter-only route (Thurs­days and Sun­days), re­plac­ing flights to Granada in Spain, which will re­sume as a sum­mer-only ser­vice next year. Flights will op­er­ate on twoclass Em­braer jets.

BA’s sum­mer Manch­ester-Lon­don City route will re­sume on De­cem­ber 15, with a south­bound ser­vice on Sun­days and north­bound on Fri­days.
