CLEAREON AC­QUIRES METRO ETH­ER­NET SER­VICE PROVIDER PANGEA NET­WORKS

Cleareon Fiber Net­works has ac­quired metro Eth­er­net ser­vice provider Pangea Net­works for an undis­closed fee.

The New York-based dark fi­bre provider said in­creas­ing de­mand for net­work ca­pac­ity, speed and se­cu­rity drove Cleareon to buy Pangea, which op­er­ates metro net­works in the New York and New Jer­sey re­gion.

“We are very ex­cited about how this ac­qui­si­tion fits our plans for the fu­ture and how well the Pan­gaea team and as­sets syn­er­gize with Cleareon,” said Cleareon CO-CEO Cliff Kane.

He con­tin­ued: “Now, in ad­di­tion to our dark fi­bre of­fer­ing, Cleareon is able to pro­vide Eth­er­net and wave­length ser­vices un­der our ser­vice as­sur­ance layer.
