EK and Qantas join forces
Emirates Airline and Australian national carrier Qantas have joined forces to provide seamless connectivity and a range of benefits for passengers travelling between Europe and Australia via the UAE. Emirates passengers travelling from the Middle East, Europe and North Africa will be able to connect with regular onward flights to Australian destinations including Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. Passengers travelling from Australia will have one-stop access to 65 destinations in the Middle East, North Africa, the UK and Europe via the Emirates network. The partnership also means frequent flyers with either airline will be able to earn points, redeem points on flights and access the lounges of both Emirates and Qantas. The joint network has the world’s largest fleet of Airbus A380 aircraft.
