Three Tugs Des­tined for Iraq & Sierra Leone

Da­men Ship­yards Group and Smit Lam­nalco have signed a con­tract for two newly de­signed ASD Tugs 3212 and a Stan Tug 2208. The ves­sels will be used for work in Iraq and Sierra Leone. Da­men pro­vides tugs, work­boats, pa­trol ves­sels, high speed craft, cargo ves­sels, dredgers, off­shore sup­port ves­sels, oil-spill re­sponse ves­sels and even frigates and su­per yachts. Da­men Ship­yards Group op­er­ates more than 45 ship­yards, re­pair yards and re­lated com­pa­nies world­wide. Em­ploy­ing over 6,000 peo­ple in 34 coun­tries the com­pany has de­liv­ered over 5,000 ves­sels since 1969 and de­liv­ers up to 150 ves­sels an­nu­ally.
