The World Teleport Association has elected four members to its Board of Directors. RigNet, a provider of managed communications solutions to the oil and gas industry, has appointed: Morten Hagland Hansen to senior vice president and chief technology officer; Jesus Jimenez to vice president of global engineering; George Head to vice president of global operations; Michael Hall to vice president for global business development; and Brooks Albery to director of products and marketing. S i mon Thompson, non - executive director of AMEC plc, has taken a seat with the Board of Directors of Rio Tinto plc, an international mining group headquartered in the UK. Thompson has also been appointed to the Board of Rio Tinto Limited. The Society of Satellite Professionals International has a new President, announcing the appointment of Chris Stott, Chairman and chief executive officer to the role.
