(1962) GEORG JENSEN VIVIANNA
The original Vivianna was designed by Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe, one of Sweden’s most important twentieth-century silversmiths. She was also a master jeweller and certainly the first female silversmith to attain a degree of international fame. She created the Vivianna for an exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs at the Louvre, which had a mirror-polished dial with no numbers and just a second hand. The bangle bracelet is a stiff extension of the case and does not close completely, rather leaving an opening on the outside of the wrist.
