Glashütte’s latest addition to their earlier successful PanoInverse Collection is the 2014 debut automatic movement, the PanoMaticInverse. The new Calibre 91-02 automatic movement is again made visible with its internal duplex swan-neck elegantly peering through, just right of the crown. The 42mm case displays the hours, minutes and seconds with beautifully designed clarity, speckled with rubies and blued screws on a rhodium plated threequarter dial. Its riveted dial is classic of Glashütte and serves as a reminder of their watch-making prestige. The clean dial makes glancing at your wrist and seeing the time in a blink of an eye so visually easy, that it effortlessly adds to its functionality and everyday usability.
The PanoMaticInverse is completed by a sapphire crystal back that allows you to see the bare bones of the 21-karat gold motor, again highlighting the precision in its engineering and giving the wearer and insight into the delicacy of the craftsmanship that Glashütte offers.
The two designs that the PanoMaticInverse comes in are subtly rendered in either a satin brushed and polished red gold case with gold appliques adorned by a golden brown alligator Nubuk strap sourced from Louisiana. Or alternatively, a satin brushed and polished stainless steel case with cool blue appliques, again fitted with a dark blue alligator leather Nubuk strap. These two differing colours and materials provide a choice of a warm and classically comfortable timepiece or a slightly cooler, more sleek looking watch.
