It’s surely a fine achievement in life, to combine your hobby with a successful business. Karl-Friedrich Scheufele has made that fine accomplishment. Mr. Scheufele and his family own the global luxury brand Chopard. And Scheufele’s duties as co-president do not prevent him from enjoying one of his most ardent passions… classic cars. Housed in an impressive garage he owns a fleet of classic cars that would make any honest collector or enthusiast turn green with envy.
And every time Scheufele competes in the renowned Mille Miglia race in Italy, his cars increase in value, since they have participated as one of only 375 cars accepted in the race, which means only cars produced between 1927 and 1957.
For Chopard, Mille Miglia is a family adventure. Father and son both share a passion for vintage cars and this year Scheufele junior participated in the race for the 26th time. For once Scheufele senior did not race, but like others supporting the race, simply enjoyed the Italian ambiance.
