Nile Rodgers, the multiple Grammy Award-winning musician, producer, and co-founder of the band CHIC has made a special visit to Girard-Perregaux manufacturing ateliers in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.

The legendery hit-maker, known to be one of the hardest working musicians in the industry, visited the ateliers to celebrate the partnership between Girard-Perregaux and the We Are Family Foundation (WAFF).

WAFF is a not-for-profit organisation founded by Rodgers that creates programs to inspire and educate young people about respect, understanding and the appreciation of cultural diversity. In addition to showcasing the watchmaking process, the visit featured a jam session with young watchmakers who cultivate a passion for music.

Michele Sofisti, CEO of Girard-Perregaux, said: “We were honored to have Nile visit our ateliers and witness the creative process that is at the core of watchmaking. There is a great connection between Girard-Perregaux and the We Are Family Foundation. We both nurture young talents who will be the keepers of tradition in the future.”

Rodgers was presented with a limited edition black zirconium version of the Shadow Hawk watch, bearing WAFF's logo on the dial and a dedicated engraving on the back of the case.
