HYT – Part Two
Anyone fancy some liquid in your watch? No problem. Independent Swiss watch brand HYT truly combined high-end watchmaking and fluid mechanics when they launched the hybrid H1 model. Now the story continues. Overseen by legendary movement designer Giulio Papi the HYT’s team of hydro mechanical horologists went back to the design lab and brought us the H2. The first sketches emerged in summer of 2012, with the goal to further integrate fluidics into mechanical watchmaking. For example, once the H2 is on your hand, a temperature indicator finds out when the fluid has reached the optimum temperature range. No wonder that the founder Lucien Vouillamoz is a former nuclear engineer with a degree in thermodynamicsm though nowadays he’s focused less on fission and more on telling time with water on a wristwatch. The H2 Titanium Black DLC comes with titanium bridges with decorated microblasted Black PVD and titanium. Fancy a swim? The watch is water-resistant to 50 metres.
